Pre Natal Diagnosis for Confirmation of Carrier Status:

Pre Natal Diagnosis (PND) is an optional genetic test performed using PCR during the first trimester between weeks 10-12 via Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS) or during the second trimester between weeks 14-16 via amniocentesis (Amnio). You will have the option to use PND as a confirmatory test, as there is a very small chance that the PGD testing of the embryo was not accurate.

• Does Pre Natal Diagnosis always identify presence of mutation?
• What happens if BRCA mutation is detected?
• How important to me is it that I know my child's carrier status?
